Year Three For Craton Promotions At The Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg
Our Third Year Was The Biggest One To Date
March 2023 – Rome, GA – The 2023 Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg Presented by RP Funding marked the 3rd year for Craton Promotions being the Official Merchandiser for the popular IndyCar race through the streets of downtown St. Petersburg Florida.
The Fans filled the blocked-off area around the track on Friday, Saturday, and also on Sunday for the main event. St. Petersburg has a unique party atmosphere that you don’t see at every auto race, the crowds are massive and in the mood for excitement.
The At The Events Crew was spread out into four different locations and every one of them had a special coolness to it. The Team at the grandstands was manned by Alan and one of our new crew members named Micah, We had a store in the grass courtyard in between the Mahaffey Theatre and the Salvador Dali Museum. That area is just beautiful and our team members Susan and Whitney made it even prettier with their presence. The main street for vendors is called vendors row and our biggest store was located there with Thomas, Calley, Jacob, and Courtney greeting the people from that one. Our 4th store was over behind the Tampa Bay Rowdies stadium, this area seemed to be full of food and drinks, and Craton Promotions, (that is what it felt like at least). This store had the music, the party, and the emcee, Tony Batman (me). Our three-person crew consisted of Myself, Owen, and another new teammate Kaylyn. We had a few very well-attended dance parties out in front of our store as we shared the space with Mary and her crew of bartenders at a place called the Batwing Bar. I could not have set up a more perfect neighbor in my mind if I tried.
We sold out of most of the dated event shirts and hats, all of the koozies, magnets, and collectible lapel pins. It was a crazy and very fun race for the At the Event with Craton Promotions crew.
We then celebrated by gathering the entire team and heading to St Pete Beach for dinner at the famed Don CeSar Hotel’s Maritana Fine Dining Restaurant. A big thank you to Charles Craton for the excellent after-race dinner, we all appreciate the gesture.
We can not wait for next year because we are already planning a bigger party.
